While most of the gold and silver we buy is melted on location and sent to our partners at the Royal Canadian Mint for refining, much of it is returned in the form of bullion for sale. Many of the unique, unusual or high quality pieces of jewellery that are not melted are cleaned and examined by our jeweller, then offered for sale at a fraction of what traditional retailers charge. Our state of the art facility at 475 Highbury has multiple layers of security including motion, heat and glass sensors, physical barriers requiring key card access and multiple stage alarm systems. We have also installed bank grade safety deposit boxes so our clients can take advantage of this secure environment. Safety deposit box rentals start at just $50/year and are available in 5 different sizes. London Gold Buyer's wholesale clients have access to our state of the art equipment which allows for quick and accurate melting and testing of gold. Using our induction furnaces, we are able to rapidly melt various karats of gold into a homogenous state and take a vacuum pin sample of the material for testing. That sample is then placed on our XRF Spectrometer and is scanned for its elemental components. The sample can be retained by the client or added to the melt. The molten metal is then poured and weighed and settlement is calculated on live spot pricing, weight, purity and payout percentages. The entire process takes as little as 15 minutes and our clients leave with a firm settlement in the form they prefer.
